Head of School in an International School Located in Ibadan

Our client, an International School located in a highbrow area in Ibadan, Oyo State with a mandate to raise Godly children through an articulated and well integrated learning process has vacancy for the following position in their Creche, Nursery, Primary and Secondary School section.

Position: Head of School – (preferably an expatriate from UK who lives in Nigeria or outside Nigeria).

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The persons that can work with our client are people that are proven to be upright and courageous in doing what is proper in a professional way with less supervision in a godly way.

The ideal person must be strategic, result oriented, self-starter, humorous with good human relation skills. Must be able to develop academic programmes that will be beneficial to the sustainability of the ideals of the school.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum academic qualification shall be SSCE. Teachers and other academic staff must have requisite qualifications such as NCE, B.ED, PGDE, M.Sc.
  • Academic staff must also be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of teaching and curriculum

EXPERIENCE & DETAIL SPECIFICATION

The Head of School must have 15-20 years relevant teaching and leadership experience, of which at least 5 should ideally be in a similar international school leadership position.

Core working relationships

In view of the strategic importance of the position of the Head of School, he/she sees to full supervision of both academic and non-academic staff and the corporate image of the school.

Key Priorities

The head of school (Strictly for expatriate, preferably UK citizen who could be living in Nigeria or outside Nigeria) is both the administrative and academic head and will be responsible for the day to day management of the school.

As part of his/her Key Performance Indicator, he/she will among other things:

  • Provide efficient and result-oriented leadership to the whole school community in order to ensure and maintain the expected educational standard
  • Strategize with the board on new educational innovation and build a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the integrity and corporate advancement of the school by increased enrolment and teachers’ ethical standard.
  • Ensure structural stability, research, quality assurance and global awareness that will keep the school afloat of competition making us the best by all qualitative and quantitative standards.
