Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the post of the College Registrar,
The Registrar is one of the five (5) Principal Officers of the College and a Member of the Management Team, He is the Chief Administrative Office in-charge of the Registry and responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration of the institution. The Registrar is also the Secretary to the Governing Council, Academic Board and other Statutory Committees and Boards of the College. The Registrar is also responsible for keeping all the records in the institution and issuing certificates of service.
Candidates for the post must hold a good honours Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning plus at least 21 years cognate experience or Master’s Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning plus at least 18 years cognate experience or a holder of Doctorate Degree plus at least 15 years cognate experience. In addition, the candidate must possess evidence of registration with a recognized relevant professional body and evidence of a continuous mandatory Professional development course. Candidates must also have spent a minimum of five (5) years as a Deputy Registrar.
The candidate shall not be more than 59 years as at the date of this publication. He/She shall be a person of high integrity and strong moral character with excellent inter-personal relations. He/She must fully understand the College of Education system and must be able to effectively utilize its human resources to attain a world-class administrative system. He/She must also be of sound health and be ICT compliant.
Condition of Service
Candidate will be entitled to the privileges and benefits specified in the Terms and Conditions of Service for Staff of Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka and according to other conditions which may be approved from time-to-time by the Governing Council of the College in consultation with the National Commission for Colleges of Education.
The appointment of the candidate is for an initial period of five (5) years in the first instance and may be eligible for re-appointment for a second term of five (5) years.
