The Global Fund is a 21st-century partnership organization designed to accelerate the end of AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria as epidemics. Founded in 2002, the Global Fund is a partnership between governments, civil society, the private sector and people affected by the diseases. The Global Fund raises and invests nearly US$4 billion a year to support programs run by local experts in countries and communities most in need. Since 2003, the Global Fund has invested more than 1.4 billion dollars in the fight against AIDS, TB and Malaria in Nigeria.

FHI360 is collaborating with AHNI on Global Fund project management and we are currently seeking qualified candidates for the positions below:

Position: Technical Officer-Logistics

Contract Type:    One Year Fixed Term

Project:                Global Fund

Location:             State Office & Abuja

Technical Officer-Logistics will manage the overall activities related to the procurement of materials, services, and equipment required by the Project. S/he will be accountable for ensuring full compliance with donor and AHNi regulations and protocols regarding procurement. S/he will coordinate closely with the operations, finance, and technical teams to develop and implement a procurement plan in a timely and efficient manner. S/he will also assist with monitoring departmental costs, schedules, and performance to ensure approval and payment of transactions and deliveries.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

BSc. in Business or relevant field with 3-5 years of relevant procurement experience.

Or MSc. in relevant field with I – 3 years relevant procurement experience. Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is an advantage.

Experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO); donor-funded procurement rules and regulations (experience with Global Fund procurement a plus)

Working knowledge of policies and procedures relating to budgets and contracts.

Position: Senior Technical Officer-Lab. Services

Contract Type:    One Year Fixed Term

Project:                Global Fund

Location:             Abuja

Senior Technical Officer-Lab. Services will provide technical expertise and assistance in implementing high quality laboratory services within the HIV care and treatment project in Nigeria, including laboratory capacity development at Global Fund project health facility sites.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

BSc in Laboratory sciences or related field with 5-7 years post national youth service experience and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in provision of laboratory support for HIV/AIDS.

Or Master degree in Laboratory sciences or related field with 3-5 years post national youth service experience and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in provision of laboratory support for HIV AIDS.

Experience in the management of laboratory services, particularly health facility-based services, including quality assurance systems, laboratory analysis, and interpretation and reporting techniques based on best practices, quality management practices and safe work practices. Knowledge of advanced laboratory procedures, diagnosis and management related to HIV/AIDS care and treatment is required with some experience in an international development organization preferred.

Certification of license to practice as a medical laboratory scientist is required. Expertise in hematology, TB and blood safety issues will be an added advantage
