Bells University of Technology, Ota hereby declares that the post of the Registrar will become vacant by 31st July, 2017. The University’s Council hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position. Bells University of Technology, Ota, is the First Private University of Technology, established by the Bells Educational Foundation. It was granted an operational license by the Federal Government on 9th June, 2005 and started operating in July, 2006. The University has graduated seven sets of students. It has commenced its eighth Academic Session in September, 201& (i.e 2016/ 2017). The University is a fully residential Institution with excellent Academic and Halls of Residence facilities.
The Vision of the University is “to be a world-renowned University, committed to the development and transformation of the society, through environment-friendly technology and other innovations”.
Its Mission is “to discover, disseminate and apply the knowledge of Science and Engineering for human well-being and the development of the society”.
The University’s philosophy is to promote the advancement of knowledge and produce graduates with well-balanced education, who are eminent positive contributors to society, and are also capable of self-actualization and employment generation.
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and is directly responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day to day supervision and management of all administrative functions in the University. The Registrar is also the Secretary to University Governing Council, Senate, Convocation and Congregation of the University.
By virtue of his/her position, the Registrar is a Principal Officer of the University.
Conditions of Service Applicable to the Post
The post of the Registrar is tenure track. The successful candidate shall hold the office for a term of five(5) years in the first instance; renewable, based on performance assessment, for a second term on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
Bells University of Technology offers attractive and competitive Conditions of Service comparable to what obtains in the Federal University system. The remuneration and conditions of service are as applicable to the post of Registrar in similar Nigerian Universities, with appropriate additional conditions as maybe determined from time to time by the Board of Trustees and or Governing Council, of the University.

The candidate for the post of Registrar is required to possess:
Applicant should not be more than 55 years old on his/her date of resumption of duty on 1st August, 2017.

Names and Addresses of Three referees (One of whom must be capable of making competent statement on the candidate’s professional competence);
Each Referee should be contacted by the applicant to forward, direct to the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, a confidential report on the candidate’s character, administrative and managerial abilities in a properly sealed envelope. The application must be accompanied by 30 copies of statement of the candidate’s Vision on building a robust Registry and responsive administrative structure in the twenty-first century.
