Department of Architecture

Position

Lecturer II- CONUASS 3

Assistant Lecturer – CONUASS 2

Areas of Specialization

History of Architecture, Housing Studies Architectural Design and Production/

Housing Studies

Candidates applying for the position of Lecturer II must possess a professional Master Degree in Architecture from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife or any other equivalent Institution, and be registered with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON). Evidence of progress on a Ph.D. programme in Architecture with specialization in History of Architecture or having a Ph.D. in Architecture, with specialization in Housing. Evidence of research and publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals will be an added advantage.

Candidates applying for the position of Assistant Lecturer should possess a professional Master Degree in Architecture from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife or any other equivalent Institution. Additional qualification(s), professional experience or evidence of research interest in Project Management will be an added advantage.

Department of Estate Management

Position

Visiting Professor/Reader CONUASS7/6 Lecturer I – CONUASS 4

Lecturer II – CONUASS 3

Areas of Specialization

Estate Management

Candidates applying for the position of Visiting Professor/Reader must possess first degree in Estate Management with Ph.D. in the same or related/equivalent discipline with relevant teaching and research experience at University level. Also, the candidate must be corporate members of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuer (NIESV) and must be registered members of the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ES VRABON). Evidence of research and publications in reputable national and international journals and proven ability to conduct and supervise industry and student related research, are essential.

Candidates applying for the position of Lecturer I must possess First Degree in Estate Management with Ph.D. in the same or related/equivalent discipline with not less than three (3) years cognate teaching experience. Also candidates must be corporate members of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) and must be registered members of the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVRABON). Evidence of Research and publications in relevant peer reviewed academic journals will be an added advantage.

Candidates applying for the position of Lecturer II must possess First Degree in Estate Management with Ph.D. in the same or related/equivalent discipline. In addition, candidates’ qualifications must be registrable with NIESV and ESVRABON. Candidates with M.Sc. (by research thesis) in Estate Management who possess registration with ESVRABON may be considered. Such must have a minimum of two (2) years cognate teaching experience. Evidence of research and publications in relevant peer reviewed academic journals will be an added advantage.

Department of Quantity Survey

Position

Lecturer I/II (BIM)

Areas of Specialization

Building Information Modelling

Measurement of construction works

Project Management

Candidates applying for the position of Lecturer I/II (Building Information Modelling (BIM)/ Measurement of construction works) must possess BSc/BTech (Hons) Quantity Surveying, MSc/MTech Quantity Surveying or MSc/MTech Construction Management, Membership of Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveying, Minimum of 3 years of construction industry experience in Quantity Surveying practice and proficiency in the use of BIM. Possession of a Ph.D. and relevant publication will be of added advantages.

Candidates applying for the position of Lecturer I/II (Project Management) must possess Academic and professional qualification as listed above. Candidate must possess evidence of specialization in the area of project management and construction industry experience in Quantity Surveying and project management. Possession of a PhD and relevant publication will be an added advantage.

Department of Building

Position

Graduate Assistant CONUASS I

Areas of Specialization

Building Services, Building Maintenance, Construction Management and Building Structures, Measurement of construction works Project Management

Candidates applying for the position of Graduate Assistant must possess Bachelor Degree in Building from an approved University within or outside the country with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division and show evidences of registering with the Nigerian Institute of Building. Shortlisted candidates shall be required to specialize in Building Services, Building Maintenance, Construction Management and Building Structures respectively.
