MANAGER, TRAINING & CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT, EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE DG/CEO in a major business membership organisation in Nigeria

VACANCIES: MANAGER, TRAINING & CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT, EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE DG/CEO

We are an employer of choice and in our bid to restructure for better service delivery and efficiency, we desire to fill the following key positions:

POSITION:  MANAGER, TRAINING & CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT

The Manager, Training and Capacity Development will provide strong support for the Directorate of Training and Capacity Development through technically sound services that cut across the spectrum of the training value chain in a professional manner that exceeds client’s expectations and sets the organisation above competition in fulfilling its mandate on a sustainable basis.

He/She will manage human and material resources in the Directorate effectively and efficiently, to fulfil both organisational and individual potentials

Academic & Professional Requirements

  • First Degree or its equivalent in Sciences, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related fields
  • A Post Graduate Degree will be an added advantage
  • Professional qualification, certification and membership of, at least one professional body e.g. CIPM, NIM, etc.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial position.
  • Experience in BMOs, and in similar functional area is an added advantage

POSITION:   EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE DC-/CEO

The Executive Assistant provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship and serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the DG/CEO. He/She also serves as a liaison to the Governing Council /Executive Committee and the Presidential Consultative & Strategy Committee and senior management team; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects.

The Executive Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and member oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. He/She will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
