Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is a non-profit organization that promotes socio-economic development by supporting global health and economic Initiatives in Nigeria. AHNi currently has its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. To strengthen our operations and interventions in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

Position Title: Senior Contracts & Grants Officer

Contract Type:    Full Term

No. Reqd.:           1

Location (s):        Abuja

Senior Contracts & Grants Officer will work with the Director, Finance & Administration to provide lead administration for the management of awards and sub awards to include contracts, grants and cooperative agreements. Will monitor workflows and help develop and implement systems to provide sound management control over AHNi’s compliance with award terms and conditions and the organizational policies.

Minimum Requirement Standards:

  • BSc. in Business Administration, Accounting or related field and 7 – 9 years relevant experience;
  • Or MSc./MBA with 5-7 years relevant experience in an NGO setting.
  • Relevant software skills to include spreadsheet and data base software and Management
  • Information Systems.
  • Working knowledge of donor (USAID, CDC, DFID, Global Fund) contract and grant agencies are required.
  • Ability to interpret funding regulations and develop implementing procedures is required.

Position Title: Grants Manager

Contract Type:    Full Term

Location (s):        Abuja

Grants Manager will work with the Project Director and Finance & Administration to provide lead administration for the management of awards and sub awards to include contracts, grants and cooperative agreements. Position Title: Senior Accountant

Contract Type:    Full Term

No. Reqd.:           1

Location (s):        Abuja

Senior Accountant will report to the DFA and will be responsible for accounting and finance and overall operational administration for the HQ office and ensure compliance with the contractual requirements of Nigeria’s programs/projects with the objective of providing professional accountancy services consistent with generally accepted accounting principles.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 5 – 7 years relevant experience.

Or MS/MA degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 3 – 5 years relevant experience. Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in office management and administration. CPA, ACA, ICAN, CIM A, CFE or any other relevant professional qualification is required.

Experience in managing financial records of donor-funded organizations, and familiarity with donor and local contractual procedures is an advantage.
