TECHNICIAN ASSISTANTS, COOKS/ STEWARDS in an independent Oil and Gas company

Our client is an independent company with significant interest in the Oil and Gas Industry and seeks to engage experienced, intelligent and self-driven individuals to fill the following positions as a result of its expansion and development programmes:


The Job Holder must possess practical hands-on skills and practical experience in Offshore Oil & Gas production platforms/Flowstation with good knowledge of fire and safety systems.


  • The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of OND/HND in any core engineering discipline with at least 5 years relevant experience on the job role.
  • Assist Production Supervisors and maintenance technicians in the maintenance of production platform and Flowstation.
  • Assist Production Supervisors, production and maintenance technicians in moving supplies and equipment to Production Platforms and Flowstations.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Production Supervisor


The Job holder will be responsible for the preparation of food and provide Catering and Steward services on Production Platform/Flow station. Must be able to work on offshore rotation schedule and must be physically and medically fit.


  • Professional Catering and Food handler Certificates
  • Preparation of food and baking of pastry products
  • Ensuring that food preparation meets hygiene requirements.
  • General maintenances of kitchen utensils, cleaning pots and pans
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Production Supervisor
  • The Steward is responsible for assisting the cooks
  • General cleaning and maintenance of rooms, washing and changing of beddings
  • Assists with the serving of meals
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Production Supervisor
  • Education: The Cook is required to possess Professional Catering and Food handler Certificates. The Steward must have a minimum of Senior School Certificate.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 year relevant Offshore experience as Chief Cook/Steward in a restaurant or onboard a Vessel, platform or Flowstation with a large crew.
