Vacancies: Chief Operating Officer and Head, International Business Services
An Oil and Gas firm that has developed end-user markets in West and Southern Africa, Europe and the Far East/Asia, purchasing and delivering significant volumes of Crude Oil, Gasoline, Naphtha/Condensate, AGO and DPK/Jet A1 Fuel, is seeking to recruit professionals in top management positions.
The company has significant interests in the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry and are actively involved in a range of activities in the upstream, midstream and downstream sector including, but not exclusive to the following:
Trading in crude oil, Naphtha, Fuel Oil and refined dean products
Seismic services (Supply of seismic equipment)
Consultancy services to the International Oil Companies
The company is seeking to recruit professionals to fill the following positions:
Position: Chief Operating Officer
Qualifications and Experience:
BSc /MSc. Degree in any discipline related to the Oil and Gas industry with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Executive Management positions.
Must have relevant experience in Executive Management of an Oil and Gas company of similar or higher profile.
Managing the day-to-day operations of the Company within Nigeria, the West African territory, Europe, Seychelles and Mauritius in accordance with the strategic plan and operating and capital budgets outlined from time to time by the Company.
Directing and coordinating all operations and activities in accordance with policies, goals and objectives established by the Chairman, Board of Directors and the management of the Company.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations with adherence to high ethical standards.
Assisting the Chairman and the Board of Directors in developing and overseeing the implementation of long term business strategies as well as fundraising ventures for the Company and participating in any expansion or restructuring activities (including investments, divestments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc) of the Company
Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with various governmental officials, regulatory agencies and partners to stay abreast of political, legislative, commercial and civil events that may impact on projects and establishing a professional image for the Company.
Ensuring delivery of the key management reports with focus on operational and financial reporting as well as budgeting process management. Providing financial insight for day to day operations and coordination of relevant matters to ensure that proper decision-making takes place.
Position: Head, International Business Services
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid experience of 10 years of Petroleum Products trading in the international Oil and Gas marketplace (Relevant educational certifications/qualifications on International crude oil trading is an added advantage)
Provide expert advice and undertake all actions that would facilitate the development of business for the Company to enable its viability and profitability.
Represent the Company at meetings and correspond with third parties including contractors and business partners on behalf of the Company.
Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Company to drive sales performance of the Company, the process of acquisition of oil and gas assets by the Company as well as the trading of oil and gas products by the Company.
Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to develop and maintain strong working relationships with various governmental officials, regulatory agencies and partners to stay abreast of political, legislative, commercial and civil events that may impact on the business of the Company.
