Olabisi Onabanjo University (formerly Ogun State University) was established as a multi-campus institution in 1982 by the Ogun State Government as an autonomous public institution with the sole purpose of providing higher education in the Humanities, Sciences, Technology and Medicine and encouraging the advancement of learning in all major spheres of human endeavour. The Librarian shall be a full-time officer and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration of the University Library and the co-ordination of library services in the University.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Candidate must possess a good honours Degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division, Master and Doctorate degree in Library or Information Science or related field from a recognized University. Candidate must also have at least ten (10) years continuous experience in an academic library. A strong proof of continuing research with appreciable evidence of scholarly publications both in quality and quantity in reputable international and national journals is required. Candidate must be able to provide academic and administrative leadership. The candidate must have spent three (3) years as a Deputy University Librarian.
