Vacancies: General Manager, Head Finance, Head Business Development

Our client, a UK LED Lights and Hybrid Systems Manufacturing Company, setting up a factory in Epe, Lagos State, is looking for smart, forward-looking and highly motivated people to come on board



(i)  Review analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine departments or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.

(ii) Confers with other management staff to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.

(iii)     Develops, reviews, updates and implements business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance and new product development.

Skills / Competencies

Ability to deliver within tight timeframes, cope well with pressure and solve complex operational problems. Excellent analytical, business development and strategic planning skills, strong negotiation and management capacity, excellent customer relationship management ability, interpersonal, project and change management skills: self-motivated, diligent and enthusiastic with a winning mentality.

Education and Experience

(a)  BSc in Engineering/Social Sciences/ Humanities

(b)  An MBA will be an added advantage

(c)  Minimum of 10 years cognate experience in similar Managerial roles

(d)  Prior engineering, finance or production management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment



(i)  Coordinate the development consolidation and reporting of weekly and monthly manufacturing expense & cost variance forecasts.

(ii) Oversee and champion the articulation and development of the Finance strategy and ensure alignment with corporate strategy, business goals and objectives.

(iii)     Serve as key adviser to the company on financial issues – interpretation of accounting and tax regulation issues

(iv) Maintain the management reporting process, analyze and report key financial and operational metrics to effectively manage the business.

(v)  Oversee the establishment of efficient controls to mitigate identified financial risks.

Skills / Competencies

(a)  Advanced financial and accounting knowledge, including in depth understanding of international and local accounting and financial reporting standards.

(b)  Good understanding of foreign exchange operations and regulations, and other relevant regulations – manufacturing industry, income and other tax, etc.

(c)  Proven ability to interpret financial statement and apply a broad perspective in summarizing results.”

Education and Experience

(a)  First degree in Accounting or related discipline.

(b)  Professional accounting certification, e.g. AC A, ACCA, or other relevant higher business degree.

(c)  Eight (8) years cognate experience, of which at least Three (3) years at senior management level



(i)  Penetrate all targeted prospects and radiate sales from within client base.

(ii) Set up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales actions

(iii)     Assist in creating Request for Proposals RFP responses to potential clients,

(iv) Support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.

Skills / Competencies

(a)  Demonstrated ability to convert prospects, close deals, and achieve sales targets

(b)  Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.

(c)  Able to build and maintain tasting relationships with customers.

(d)  Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.

Education and Experience

(a)  University Degree or comparable Qualification, Preferably a first degree in Engineering/ Social Sciences/Humanities or equivalent and membership of a recognized public relations institute

(b)     A higher degree will be an added advantage

(c)  Minimum of 5 years cognate experience in Business Development Roles
