VACANCIES EXIST FOR COOKS, PASTRY CHEFS AND PRODUCTION SUPERVISORS IN A GROUP OF RESTAURANTS.

An upscale group of restaurants located in the South-West Nigeria with interest in eatery/fast-food service is looking for passionate and dedicated personnel to fill the following vacant positions:

BACK OFFICE

COOKS

Specific Responsibilities

  • Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
  • Maintain accurate food inventories
  • Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
  • Ensures that the food prep areas & kitchen are cleaned & sanitized at the end of each shift

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma certificate/Bachelor’s degree in Food & Nutrition or any relevant certification
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a cook in the fast-food industry
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to read and follow standardized recipes
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere

PASTRY CHEFS

Specific Responsibilities

  • Prepare a wide variety of small chops & goods such as cakes, pies, cookies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes
  • Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc and make appropriate orders within budget
  • Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
  • Check quality of material and condition of equipment and tools used for cooking
  • Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Certification in pastry-making, baking, culinary arts or any relevant qualification
  • Proven experience as pastry chef, baker or relevant role
  • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
  • Working knowledge of baking with ingredients limitation (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc)
  • Great attention to detail and creativity

PRODUCTION SUPERVISORS/OUTLET

MANAGERS

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop a team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short-and-long-term performance goals
  • Set and achieve performance standards with regards to safety, products utilization and quality
  • Ensure products sampling before displaying in front-office
  • Compose correspondence relative to job description of cooks, pastry chefs, dispatchers, cashiers and lobby workers.

Required Experience. Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in foods sciences, social science, food engineering or similar field
  • Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making
  • Excellent numerical and computer skills {Microsoft suite)
  • 5 years hands-on experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a result-oriented, challenging environment.

Each of these positions require graduates with professional qualifications and 5 years work experience
