Our Client is a newly built 97-key Luxury Hotel in the city of Osogbo, Osun State. The hotel is scheduled to welcome its first guest in December, 2019.

We are looking for qualified indigenous professionals with the requisite skills to ensure commencement of operations with the highest possible international standards.

POSITION: HUMAN RESOURCE, ADMINISTRATION AND COMPLIANCE MANAGER SENIOR

KEY JOB OBJECTIVES:

Coordinates Human Resources and administrative sequences and attends to the general applications and interventions associated with the functionality in order to ensure adequate guidance and support is made available to employees with respect to comprehending and understanding organisational and legislative procedures related to their employment, benefits and development. Also, coordinates the issues of compliance with regards operating licences for the hotel and general staff welfare.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES’ SUMMARY

Employee Resources functionality/Training and Coordination/information & Statistics/ Human Resources Management; Recruitment Staff Retention; Performance appraisals; Coaching; Counselling/Discipline and grievance; Employee relations; Wage and salary administration; Compensation and benefits; Succession planning / Laws Regulations & Policies/ Reporting Employee Relations & Management Health & Safety

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  • 90% Employee performance evaluations;
  • Smooth running of operations that exhibit proper planning, time management and efficient resource allocation;
  • Overall departmental heads’ performance;
  • Thoroughness in accountability of Human Resources budget;
  • Compliance to all hospitality statutory obligations

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A university degree from Law, Social Sciences or any other relevant field.
  • A HR Certification and proven progressive growth and development in HR practices.
  • A minimum of 8 years working experience and at least 5 years in a HR management role.
  • Ability to use a HRIS will be a plus.
  • Experience within the hospitality sector will be an advantage.

POSITION: COST CONTROLLER MIDDLE SENIOR

KEY JOB OBJECTIVES:

Primarily responsible for calculating costs of sales and the short and long-term planning of the controlling and pricing aspects for all sales outlets within the hotel. Additionally, responsible for recording information and producing control reports periodically to help maintain a suitable inventory for the entire hotel. He/she changes the price of menus’ items based on the costing information they collect from vendors’ information, He/She also actively takes part in engineering the menu in terms of the pricing, Drive down cost of sales by implementing effective control procedures and ensuring adequate approval levels.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES’ SUMMARY

Establishment of effective cost control processes / Receiving and Storeroom Functions / Measurable effective cost/expense planning and management, controls and reporting /Manage and provide efficient, prompt, trouble Free, courteous and quality accounting service

Laws, Regulations & Policies / Reporting Employee Relations & Management Support / Health & Safety

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  • 90% Employee performance evaluation.
  • Smooth running of operations that exhibit proper planning, processes, time management and efficient resource allocation.
  • Overall departmental performance vis-a-vis unit’s contribution.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A university degree in Accounting, Cost Accounting, Finance, Economics or a relevant field.
  • a minimum of 5 years working experience and at least 5 years working experience relevant role within the hospitality sector.
  • Usage of hospitality ERP or revenue management software and an accounting software will be an asset.

POSITION: INTERNAL AUDITOR MIDDLE SENIOR

KEY JOB OBJECTIVES:

Primarily responsible for performing full audit cycle including enterprise risk management, risk-based internal audit, and controls’ management over Operations, as well as effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with processes, directives and regulations at all times.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES’ SUMMARY

Monitoring compliance and effectiveness of controls across departments/ Internal audit review and reporting/Manage and provide efficient, prompt,  trouble-free courteous and quality auditing service across departments/ Laws, Regulations & Management Support/Employee Relations & Management Support/ Health & Safety

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  • 90% Employee performance evaluation.
  • Overall departmental performance vis-a-vis unit’s contribution.
  • Thoroughness in compliance of processes.
  • Measurable effective Risk Management outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A university degree in accounting, cost accounting, finance, economics or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience and at least 3 years in a similar role.
  • Usage of hospitality ERP or revenue management software and an accounting software will be an asset.
  • Auditing software knowledge and knowledge of the COSO framework will be an asset

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • All candidates must be confident, with strong communications and reporting skills, good organisational skills, Interpersonal relations and must be pleasant, amiable and hospitable.
  • All candidates are expected to exhibit strong leadership and supervisory qualities.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Use of hospitality PMS/ERP will be an advantage (Oracle Opera Micros, ASI, ProLogic, etc.).
