The Global Fund is a 21st-century partnership organization designed to accelerate the end of AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria as epidemics. Founded in 2002, the Global Fund is a partnership between governments, civil society, the private sector and people affected by the diseases. The Global Fund raises and invests nearly US$4 billion a year to support programs run by local experts to countries and communities most in need. Since 2003, the Global Fund has invested more than 1.4 billion dollars in the fight against AIDS, TB and Malaria, in Nigeria we are seeking qualified candidates for the hallowing; position:

POSITION: SENIOR TECHNICAL OFFICER-FCT (PMTCT)

Senior Technical Officer-FCT (PMTCT) will provide technical support to implement integrated high- quality family focused HIV Prevention, care, support and treatment services for the General Population (GP) and Key Population (KP) (FSW, MSM, PWID) with primary focus on Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS (PMTCT), will work with relevant stakeholders at national, state and LGA levels to coordinate the design, and implementation of the PMTCT Catch Up plan in relation to PMTCT; including the use of Anti -retroviral treatment. TB HIV services integration KP services, care and support

MINIMUM OF RECRUITMENT STANDARDS:

  • MB.BS/MD with a Post graduate degree with 4 to 5 years of progressive relevant experience in PMTCT programming with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of HTS, anti retroviral therapy (ART), TB HIV collaboration, care and support in resource constrained settings.
  • Experience in project development with proven experience in the planning and facilitation of training is required.
  • Knowledge of program management; most especially that of PMTCT programs
  • Familiarity with Nigerian formal and non-formal health sector systems, NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing donor funded programs especially Global Fund Grants will he added advantage.
