PRACTICING OPPORTUNITY IN LAGOS FOR HIGHLY QUALIFIED LAWYERS

We are a top-notch Law Firm located in Lagos and led by a seasoned Senior Advocate of Nigeria who has an extensive litigation background. Our practice is mainly commercial and we are looking to fill the following roles:

POSITION:   SENIOR ASSOCIATE

DESCRIPTION

We require seasoned legal practitioners who have practiced extensively in busy and respected law firms in Nigeria for a minimum period of 8-10 years.

There is no age limitation or gender barrier, rather our emphasis is on the productivity of the individual, and to this effect every candidate must be able to provide extensive proof of his/her skill, through his/her work portfolio.

We will require references from former employers, as well as performance ratings from the immediate supervisor of each candidate in his/her last place of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of an LLB Degree with stellar academic credentials from a highly recognized university in Nigeria or outside Nigeria, but limited to the Commonwealth countries.
  • Not less than 8-10 years active practice in a highly regarded law practice. Experience/Attributes
  • It is important that prospective candidates are independent in their decision making, and are able to act with considerable discretion.
  • Candidates must demonstrate the ability to balance several goals at once, with the initiative to minimise costs/risks and maximise benefits/returns.
  • It is further required that applicants for this position must show proven success in management and supervision.

POSITION:    ASSOCIATE

DESCRIPTION

Same as above except with a minimum of 5 years’ experience post NYSC active practice in the profession.

POSITION:    HUMAN RESOURCES/PERSONNEL MANAGER

This position requires an experienced individual who will be responsible for performing an array of admin and human resources functions. The candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, flexible, creative, committed, and passionate about his/her work.

QUALIFICATIONS/ATTRIBUTES

  • A good university degree in a good discipline (may include business or humanities) and professional qualification relative to the field.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an executive support/human resource role at a well established organization.
  • Ability to manage the day to day back operational and human resources complexity of the firm.

POSITION:     SECRETARY

This position requires a vibrant, responsible and productive male/female who will be providing secretarial and administrative services to the legal team with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS/ATTRIBUTES

  • Minimum of HND/B.sc in a relevant discipline.
  • Candidates should be proficient with the use of the computer and Microsoft office suite, together with cognate experience of at least 5 years.
