We are A LEADING DIVERSIFIED BUSINESS CONGLOMERATE with an up-coming
port terminal company.

We seek to recruit interested and qualified professionals to fill the following positions.

POSITION: HR/ADMIN, MANAGER

This role is accountable for managing and enhancing the Group’s administrative and human resources functions by developing strategies, policies and infrastructure for Group integration and synergy, with oversight responsibilities spanning general administration, human resources and facilities management across the Group.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides direction in the development and implementation of Group administrative and human resources policies.
  • Monitors and controls administrative and human resources services.
  • Implements robust, scalable and customization Group policies and procedures supported by active monitoring and compliance management systems for sustainability across the Group.
  • Liaises with government agencies and maintains cordial relation with them with a view to getting support when and if required.
  • Coordinates and facilitates the Group’s development efforts by assisting operating companies with the implementation of their administrative and HR programmes.
  • Recruit managerial & executive level staff across the Group in line with strategic plans.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A first degree in Humanities from a reputable university.
  • An MBA or Master’s degree will be an added advantage
  • Membership of relevant professional body.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience, at least 3-5 years of which should be at management level.
  • Working knowledge of organizational planning, staffing, training, policy development and budgeting
  • Proficient in the use of computer & word applications.
  • Excellent references
  • Minimum age 40 years

POSITION: EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CHAIRMAN

Reporting to the Chairman of the Group, this role provides executive support to the Chairman.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the administrative functions of the Chairman’s office
  • Planning, organizing and managing the Chairman’s events and meetings Attending high level meetings on behalf of/with the Chairman and reporting thereon.
  • Attending to Chairman’s correspondence at Inter-Group level.
  • Liaise with the public and staff on behalf of the Chairman
  • Reviewing confidential emailsand correspondence with utmost discretion
  • Overseeing members of staff in the Chairman’s unit.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A first degree in Humanities from a reputable institution.
  • A Master’s degree would be an added
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience of supporting top executive in a large organization.
  • Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional qualification/membership of a recognized body.
  • Ability to perform with precision and confidence to work under pressure at odd hours.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficient in computer use and multimedia applications.

POSITION: CONFIDENTIAL SECRETARY

This is an executive position that involves the exchange of sensitive and private communications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drafts, transcribes and distributes mails and correspondences.
  • Answers telephone calls and handles callers appropriately
  • Attends to daily correspondences.
  • Maintains filing system both in electronic and hardcopies.
  • Creates and maintains calendar of appointment schedules, events and meetings.
  • Performs general secretarial duties.
  • Performs such other lawful duties as may be assigned from time to time by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of B.SC or HND in Secretarial Studies or other relevant course of study.
  • Proficiency in computer use and multimedia applications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as inter-personal relations.
  • Ability to work under pressure with utmost discretion
  • First class Reference is obligatory
  • Neat and must not be less than 40 years of age.

REMUNERATION

The remuneration package attached to each position is attractive, within industry standard and negotiable.
