WFI is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to the improvement of the quality of the of particularly action children and the youth since 2003, WFI have worked closely with key stakeholders to address disease burdens and social deprivations amongst these populations through cutting edge, innovative and sustainable solutions WFI strengthens local institutions, structures, and entities that enhance community health, economic and Social welfare, and women and girl-child rights. In recent past, WFI in collaboration with the FMOH and NPHCOA developed. Launched and plaited the implementation of the national guideline on promoting access of AYFHS into primary health care facilities in Nigeria. WFI in partnership with Novel Association for Youth Advocacy in country advocating for the implementation of the guidelines at sub-national level under her “Strengthening youth-serving coalition for the implementation of adolescent and youth-hardly health services (AYFHS) project in four states of Nigeria”

Women Friendly Initiative (WFI) seeks qualified candidates for various positions located in Abuja Lagos and Kano for a five-years USAID-funded project focused on improving the health and well-being of urban of inban, poor adolescents age 15-19 by increasing voluntary Family Planning (FP) uptake and continued use-from a holistic, human capital perspective in Lagos and Kano states. The project, implemented by a consortium of international and local partners, will loster a youth-covered ecosystem to advance inban adolescent health and well-being. The ecosystem centers around Youth Hubs which are sole spaces to access sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) information and services WFI will work with the consortium to facilitate referral linkages between hubs and know higher quality, youth-friendly SRHR providers

We are recruiting to till the following positions:

POSITION: PROJECT ACCOUNTANT (1 POSITION)

LOCATION: KUJE-ABUJA

REPORTS TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

DEADLINE: 5 JUNE, 2020.

The successful candidate will; work with the CEO, DOP and DAI to coordinate all financial transactions and operations, such that funds are provided to facilitate timely and smooth operations, Prepare the various organization’s financial reports at regular intervals (monthly quarter, half-year, annual) and income/Expenditure, Balance Sheet and facilitate the process of auditing WFIs account, prepare accurate and timely project financial reports, Monitor organizational cash flow and deal with fund transfer request by donors in a timely manner whilst ensuring proper registration of previous advance. Responsible for filling all organizational and donors financial returns in a systematic and secure manner for proper audit trail and easy retrieval.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Economics or related course with strong NGO experience.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Minimum of three years post NYSC work experience in Accounting/Finance related role Previous experience in managing donor funds and supporting partner organizations working on USAID funded project. Strong knowledge and experience applying USAID finance, procurement, contracting and grant management regulation. Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel & Word (MS Office in general) Strong working knowledge of one or more accountancy software applications (QuickBooks accounting package especially)

LOCATION: KUJE-ABUJA

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS

DEADLINE: 5 JUNE, 2020.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in the Arts, Humanities or Higher National Diploma in Business Administration, Office Management/Secretarial Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics or related course with strong NGO experience.

The successful candidate will; Operationalize administrative procedures such as Time sheet Travel and transportation Documentation, and Procurement of services of Consultants, Arrange for equipment maintenance and insurance as required Maintain project equipment inventory.
