WFI is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to the improvement of the quality of the of particularly action children and the youth since 2003, WFI have worked closely with key stakeholders to address disease burdens and social deprivations amongst these populations through cutting edge, innovative and sustainable solutions WFI strengthens local institutions, structures, and entities that enhance community health, economic and Social welfare, and women and girl-child rights. In recent past, WFI in collaboration with the FMOH and NPHCOA developed. Launched and plaited the implementation of the national guideline on promoting access of AYFHS into primary health care facilities in Nigeria. WFI in partnership with Novel Association for Youth Advocacy in country advocating for the implementation of the guidelines at sub-national level under her “Strengthening youth-serving coalition for the implementation of adolescent and youth-hardly health services (AYFHS) project in four states of Nigeria”

Women Friendly Initiative (WFI) seeks qualified candidates for various positions located in Abuja Lagos and Kano for a five-years USAID-funded project focused on improving the health and well-being of urban of inban, poor adolescents age 15-19 by increasing voluntary Family Planning (FP) uptake and continued use-from a holistic, human capital perspective in Lagos and Kano states. The project, implemented by a consortium of international and local partners, will loster a youth-covered ecosystem to advance inban adolescent health and well-being. The ecosystem centers around Youth Hubs which are sole spaces to access sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) information and services WFI will work with the consortium to facilitate referral linkages between hubs and know higher quality, youth-friendly SRHR providers

We are recruiting to till the following positions:

POSITION: YOUTH FRIENDLY SERVICE COORDINATOR (2 POSITIONS)

LOCATION: LAGOS AND KANO

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF PROGRAM

DEADLINE: 5 JUNE, 2020.

Education: Bachelor in Nigeria public Health Medicine and Social Sciences. A Master Degree in Public Health or related field will be an advantage

The position occupant will; Coordinate state efforts in promoting youth-friendly sexual and reproduction health services in partnership with the states associations for Nigeria, patent proprietary Medicine Vendors (PPMVs), and Community Pharmacists and community Health extension workers; participate in the state level community Mapping of Urban alums, Custers, facilities and community adolescents congregational spots in Lagos and Kano States: Support the development and implementation of advocacy roadmap for adolescent friendly health services to Government, Community leaders, CSOs, Health professionals and private sector Strengthen capacity of traditional and non-traditional providers of youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health services and relevant linkages between different cadres Assist in preparing costed work-plans and financial program documents and reports for management and donor; Work with the M&E team in ensure that WFI projects indicators are effectively developed and captural

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Minimum 5years of working experience at the managerial level in Youth/SRHR/FP program in Nigeria or related field development. Minimum 2years working experience in USAID donor funded youth-focused projects in at least a state in Nigeria. Minimum of 2 years experience directly supervising of managing multidisciplinary teams of at least 3 staff with demonstrated skills in leading professional teams. Knowledge of specific state policies and youth development networks would be an advantage. Demonstrated experience and ability for programs in slums and good knowledge of basic computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other multidirect communication platforms.

POSITION: YOUTH ADVOCACY OFFICER (2 POSITIONS)

LOCATION: LAGOS AND KANO

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF PROGRAM

DEADLINE: 5 JUNE, 2020.

The successful candidate will; (a) Coordinate WFI state level advocacy to government community-based stakeholders, health professional bodies, interfaith –religious leaders and health providers to make ASRH & FP issues visible, highlight barriers to ASRH and FP and participate in rallies /outreaches to draw attention to adolescent health issues (b) Support the development and implement of advocacy roadmap for adolescent friendly health services to Government Community lenders, CSOs Health professions and private sector (c) Engage stakeholders at the state and community levels to and maintain good will towards the project and accurate understanding of project to ensure community ownership

Education Qualification: Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Law, Public Health or any related Health field with 3-5 years’ experience in SRHR advocacy including family planning and contraception.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Good understanding of ASRH advocacy, family planning challenges and key advocacy messages and bodies for influencing decision, policy makers state and non-state actors and community gatekeepers.

Good computer skills (word processing spreadsheets email/internal) and ability to be self-supporting in most administrative tasks

POSITION: PROJECT MANAGER (1 POSITION)

LOCATION: KUJE-ABUJA

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF PROGRAM

DEADLINE: 5 JUNE, 2020.

The successful candidate will; Support in a consultative and collaborative capacity, the AYFHS Coordinators and advocacy officers in Lagos and Kano state in the day-to-day implementation, technical guidance and inputs and ensuring compliance with National AYFHS Standards of Practice and FMoH and SMoH Family Planning Service Protocols \participate in the design of community based structures (depot holders, PPMVs, CHEWs, CPs, and PHC Nurses) strengthening efforts including trainings innovative ASRH service delivery approaches and documentation tools.

Education: Bachelor in Nigeria Public Health Medicine and Social Sciences. A Master Degree in Public Health or related field will be an advantage.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
