To achieve its strategic goals, our client seeks to fill the following positions:

POSITION: AGM-MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

The successful candidate shall provide leadership in the articulation, development and execution of marketing and business development activities and effectively contribute to the attainment of strategic corporate goals. The specific responsibilities will include the following:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide leadership and direction to the marketing and business development team through effective and efficient supervision of key activities critical to accomplishing the company’s strategic goals and plans
  • Planning and conducting marketing and business development activities to match budgets and sales targets as articulated by the Company’s Management.
  • Identifying, establishing and maintaining rewarding relationships with brokers through expansion of business accounts with the Company
  • Identifying, articulating and implementing marketing strategies for acquisition of new businesses from public and private sector clients
  • Establish and maintain dedicated channel of communications with clients to manage relationships and deliver exceptional experience
  • Decomposing, translating and communicating Board and Management decisions to the team and ensuring proper execution
  • Providing overall leadership to the business development teams and take ultimate responsibility for performance in production, collection and profitability
  • Any other responsibilities assigned by the Executive Management and Board of Directors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • A first degree or equivalent in a related field from a reputable institution
  • A master’s degree in relevant field and a relevant professional insurance qualification will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 15 years cognate experience with at least 4 years not below the level of senior manager in a reputable insurance company or a financial Institution with related focus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, combined with outstanding relationship and business development capabilities
  • High level of professionalism, exemplary teamwork and excellent leadership qualities.

POSITION: SENIOR MANAGER, MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

The successful candidate will lead the drive to build and maintain a sustainable and rewarding relationship with brokers and other channels with the aim of capturing and sustaining value and contributing to the attainment of strategic corporate goals. The specific responsibilities will include the following:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead brokers relations management through strategies that leverage the network of leading insurance brokerage firms to accomplish divisional objectives and plans
  • Developing and implementing divisional strategies to achieve set targets and aligning same to corporate objectives and goals
  • Planning and conducting marketing and business development activities to match budgets and sales targets as articulated by the Company’s Management
  • Identifying, establishing and maintaining rewarding relationships with brokers through expansion of business accounts with the Company
  • Ensure the marketing and business development division is sufficiently supported to compete and win new businesses and accounts in various sectors
  • Ensuring proper and effective communication of Board and Management’s decision to marketing and business development Team members for better understanding and execution
  • Conducting environmental scanning to identify and leverage inherent opportunities while mitigating risks.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned by Executive Management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • A first degree or equivalent preferably in a related field from a reputable institution
  • A master’s degree in relevant field and a relevant professional Insurance qualification will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 12 years cognate experience with at least 4 years not below the level of manager in a reputable insurance company or a financial institution with related focus
  • Strong interpersonal skills combined with outstanding relationship and business development capabilities
  • High level of professionalism, exemplary teamwork and excellent leadership qualities.

 

POSITION: MANAGER, MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

The successful candidate will among other duties contribute to the development and execution of annual business development and marketing plans and lead the execution of marketing and business development activities to achieve divisional strategic objectives. The specific responsibilities will include the following: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Decompose divisional objectives and targets into achievable task activities, annual and monthly plans to guide divisions operations activities
  • Conducting economic and market analysis as input into development of marketing and business development strategies for the division to drive marketing efforts
  • Lead the process of developing proposals and putting together bid documents to participate in all open business opportunities in both public and private sector establishments
  • Establishing marketing leads and following up to acquire new businesses through networking and efficient relationship with prospective clients and brokers.
  • Lead and coordinate marketing team activities in new business acquisition within assigned brokers and market segment
  • Any other responsibilities assigned by the Divisional Head.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • A first degree or equivalent in a related field from a reputable institution
  • A master’s degree in a relevant field and a relevant insurance professional qualification will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 10 years cognate experience with at least 4 years as marketing team lead in a reputable insurance company or a financial institution with related focus
  • Strong interpersonal skills combined with outstanding relationship and business development capabilities
  • High level of professionalism, exemplary teamwork and excellent leadership qualities.
