VACANCIES: REGISTRAR-CONSOLIDATED, COLLEGE LIBRARIAN – CONSOLIDATED, BURSAR-CONSOLIDATED
The PLATEAU STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY, Zawan hereby invites applications from Interested and suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions:
POSITION: REGISTRAR (CONSOLIDATED)
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Candidate must possess a minimum of Second Class Lower Degree (B.A or B.Sc) in Social Sciences, Arts or Humanities from a recognized University, plus 18 years post qualification cognate experience; or a holder of Master Degree in any of the disciplines mentioned above plus 15 years cognate experience; or a Doctorate Degree with at least 12 years cognate experience. Applicants should not be below the rank of a Deputy Registrar on CONTEDISS 14 or GL15, and must have Tertiary Institution Administration of at least seven (7) years. Candidate should have evidence of registration with a recognized relevant Professional body.
POSITION: COLLEGE LIBRARIAN (CONSOLIDATED)
The College Librarian is a Principal Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer of the College Library. The, College Librarian is responsible to the Provost for the overall administration of the College Library and the Coordination of the Library Services in the College and its branches.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the Library Services in the College
- He/She shall play a critical role in the attainment of the objectives of the College and Implementation of its Vision and Mission.
QUALIFICATION
- By direct Appointment of a candidate possessing a Ph.D with at least fifteen (15) years post qualification cognate experience or MLS with 18 years post qualification cognate experience with evidence of Registration with Professional Library body. There must be evidence of journal publication; seminar/ conference papers. Such candidate must have at least 12 journals and 21 conference/seminar papers or five chapter contribution in standard text book(s) or two text books.
- Must be a Professionally Qualified and participating Librarian.
- Must show evidence of Considerable Scholarship through research; exhibitions and publications in reputable journals; as well as possess proven records of sound Administrative Leadership;
- Be a Registered Member of the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LCRN) or/ and Nigeria Library Association (NLA);
- Computer Literate and Proficient in Computer Applications in Library Services;
- Evidence of proven records of sound administrative leadership; respect and able to carry colleagues along and
- The candidate must not be more than sixty (60) years and not below forty-five (45) years at the time of assumption of Office.
POSITION: BURSAR (CONSOLIDATED)
- Appointment to the position of a Bursar is by tenure of four years at the first instance and renewable thereafter by the Governing Council of the College subject to satisfactory performance.
- Candidate must have good honors degree, minimum of Second Class Lower division or its equivalent with Professional Qualification in ANAN or ICAN and with at least (18) years post-qualification cognate experience.
- Membership of Professional body e.g. ANAN or ICAN and possession of a Higher Degree (Master) in relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Evidence of Community Service/Computer Literacy.
- The candidate must not be more than sixty (60) years and not less than forty five (45) years at the time of assumption of Office.

(o) Names and addresses of three (3) Referees who shall forward confidential reports on the candidates directly to the Registrar. Such referees should be able to attest to the candidate’s claims and Managerial capabilities as well as their characters.
