Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant positions in the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria.

(A)  DIRECTOR, NNPC/SHELL CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE IN GEOSCIENCES AND PETROLEUM ENGINEERING

Requirements

Applicants must be distinguished Professors of relevant disciplines in Geosciences and Engineering or Senior Oil and Gas Practitioners with relevant minimum academic qualifications who can demonstrate academic and research expertise. Applicants must be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant. Applicants should be under 60 years of age on resumption of duty.

Job Descriptions

The Director is in charge of the day-to-day running of the Centre of Excellence and shall be responsible to the Board, which is headed by the Vice-chancellor and co-chaired by the Representative of Shell Petroleum Development Company. The Director should be able to provide effective management of all stakeholders in the Academia, Oil and Gas Industry, Relevant Service Companies as well as Government MDAs to ensure buy- ins into the programmes and activities of the Centre.
